JCI Iowa’s spring All-State Convention was held the weekend of May 15-17 in Clear Lake. Attendees were treated to the sights of Clear Lake on Friday night as the Clear Lake chapter hosted a pub crawl.

On Saturday, 2008 chapter president and JCI USA training director Paul Crawford conducted a JCI Impact training class at Opportunity Village in Clear Lake. Members then had the opportunity to work on various projects in the afternoon to help Opportunity Village, an organization that benefits individuals with disabilities.

During the awards banquet Saturday night at PM Park, 2013 chapter president Jason Hancock was honored as Governor #444 by the Iowa Junior Chamber. A governorship is the highest honor that an individual can receive at the state level. After the banquet. members responded to a challenge by JCI Iowa Chairman of the Board Chris Puetz to raise enough money for Nothing But Nets for current JCI Iowa President C.J. Derlein-Hoffman to jump in the lake.
