The Clive Jaycees is a leadership organization for young professionals in the greater Des Moines community, ages 21-40 years old. We’re dedicated to community service, networking, personal and professional development and leadership training, but above all else having fun!

In the act of serving, members receive hands-on experience, which translates to the enhancement of personal growth and the development of valuable leadership skills, all while growing friendships and having fun.

Our chapter is most commonly associated with our main fundraiser, Clive After Five, an annual event held each Friday during the summer and managed exclusively by our members for over 20 years. In the past seven years, the Clive Jaycees have donated over $350,000 to metro area charities through profits raised by Clive After Five.

Community Service
The Clive Jaycees participate in various community service events throughout the year. We also run our own events for the community such as youth sports competitions, Safe Halloween Party, Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Basket distribution, Easter Egg Hunt and Adopt-A-Highway. We also offer two scholarships to local high school students. A sampling of the organizations we support include:

Social Activities
The Clive Jaycees have various social events throughout the year such as Friday night socials, movie night, dinner club, golf outings, wine and beer tastings, book club and much more so that our members can get to know one another and form lasting friendships.

Meetings
The Clive Jaycees hold two chapter membership meetings on the second and fourth Mondays of the month. Our meetings are held at the Dymond Safety Center (Police & Fire Station) at 8505 Harbach Blvd. just south of Linnan Park at 7 p.m. Meetings are followed by a social.

Contrary to what you might think, you do not have to be a Clive resident to join the Clive Jaycees.  We have many members throughout the greater Des Moines community. Becoming a Clive Jaycee gives you an opportunity to meet other professionals your age.  We are a volunteer organization so you may choose to participate in as many events as you’d like.
